Red River Crossing Quilt

Red River Crossing is inspired by the meeting of Winnipeg’s two iconic waterways, the Red and Assiniboine Rivers, where water, land, and wide prairie skies shape the landscape. The design reflects the patchwork of surrounding fields and the way their colours and shapes echo across the water’s surface.

Designed and Created by Erin Kroeker, The Blanket Statement

This pattern is constructed using simple strip piecing, making it efficient and satisfying to sew. Thoughtful colour placement adds subtle movement and depth, giving this structured layout a more dynamic,
lived-in feel.
