Universal Needles

General purpose sewing machine needle.

Anatomy: The point of a universal needle has a slightly rounded tip but is still quite sharp. Available in a variety of sizes (9-16) the universal needle features a flat shank and regular size eye. The size of the needle refers to the width of the shaft and will help to determine its use. Match a smaller width needle to delicate fabrics and the larger width needle to multilayer or heavier weight fabrics.
